Before you travel
Agree on the pickup point, destination, fare, and payment method directly with your driver. Confirm the driver's identity and that the vehicle and registration plate match the listing. If something does not match or feels unsafe, do not proceed.
Keep someone informed
Consider sharing your journey plans and location with someone you trust through a service you choose. Beacon's discovery map is not a monitored journey or emergency response system.
Protect your information
Share only the contact and pickup information needed for your journey. Never share passwords, sign-in codes, or banking security codes. Be cautious about unexpected payment requests and links sent in chat.
Respect people and boundaries
Treat riders and drivers respectfully. Harassment, threats, discrimination, and unwanted contact are not acceptable. A contact number obtained from Beacon is for discussing relevant transport services, not unrelated advertising.
For drivers
Keep your vehicle roadworthy and your listing accurate. Follow traffic rules and applicable requirements for your services. Do not interact with the app while driving. Use your online status and location sharing only when you intend to be discoverable.
Report concerns
Use “Report listing” in the app for inaccurate listings, inappropriate conduct, or other concerns. Include relevant facts without exposing unnecessary personal information. For additional help, visit Support.
In an emergency
Contact the appropriate local emergency service immediately. Beacon support and listing reports are not monitored as emergency channels. Listing review is not a guarantee that a person or vehicle is safe.
